From paying school fees to providing stationery<\/strong>, transportation<\/strong> with school buses, removing architectural barriers, to renovating<\/strong> school premises and toilets, so that all girls and boys can study peacefully and profitably.<\/p>\n Special attention is devoted to disabled or marginalized children due to gender, ethnicity, or ongoing conflicts.<\/strong><\/p>\n Wars, natural disasters, migrations: for children experiencing these events, one of the biggest traumas is no longer being able to go to school. Terre des Hommes immediately activates in emergency contexts by setting up protected spaces for children<\/strong> where educational activities, even informal ones, take place, bringing back a sense of normalcy that helps restore peace of mind to the youngest ones. Poor performance is often seen by parents as a reason for dropping out of school, leading them to let their children work or marry off their daughters when they are still minors.<\/p>\n For this reason, Terre des Hommes focuses on teacher training<\/strong> and the provision of teaching tools<\/strong> and materials to improve the quality of education and strengthen the school system in fragile countries.
