Pensiamo alle temperature che si alzano, al rischio che le coste vengano sommerse dall&#8217;innalzamento dei mari. Ma nessuno pensa che il cambiamento climatico possa portare con s\u00e9 anche altre conseguenze.<strong> Al collegamento tra i cambiamenti climatici e i matrimoni precoci, ad esempio. <\/strong><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.takepart.com\/hidden-connections\">\u201cHidden connecions\u201d<\/a> \u00e8 un documentario prodotto da \u201cTake Part\u201d  e dalla \u201cThomson Reuters Foundation\u201d che indaga i legami tra questi due fenomeni \u2013 a prima vista scollegati tra loro \u2013 in Bangladesh. <strong>Un Paese dove il 52% delle ragazze si sposa prima dei 18 anni.<\/strong> Il film racconta le vicende di Brishti (13 anni) e Razia (14 anni), due ragazze che, assieme alle loro famiglie, hanno dovuto abbandonare i propri villaggi a causa delle alluvioni che hanno distrutto le loro case. E cos\u00ec si sono ritrovate a Dacca, la capitale del Bangladesh.<br \/>\n<strong>Brishti \u00e8 arrivata a Dacca per sposarsi, proprio come succede a migliaia di ragazzine ogni anno.<\/strong> Mentre la famiglia di Razia non si rassegna a dare in sposa la propria figlia. <strong>Queste due storie offrono un inedito punto di vista sulle cause che portano a un aumento del numero di matrimoni infantili nel Paese.<\/strong><br \/>\nA causa dei cambiamenti climatici, <strong>tra le 50mila e le 200mila famiglie bengalesi sono state costrette ad abbandonare i propri villaggi <\/strong>per spostarsi a Dacca, dove il costo della vita \u00e8 molto pi\u00f9 elevato. I rifugiati climatici si trovano cos\u00ec in condizioni di estrema povert\u00e0: negli slums dove vivono,  dell&#8217;istruzione delle ragazze \u00e8 un lusso impossibile da sostenere.<br \/>\nIn \u201cHidden Connections\u201d Razia spiega che nel suo villaggio, Jamalpur, solitamente il matrimonio delle ragazze viene rimandato al momento in cui le ragazze hanno completato la loro istruzione. Ma a Dacca le scuole costano troppo e le famiglie non hanno soldi per mandare le figlie a scuola. La sola alternativa: il matrimonio e la maternit\u00e0. <strong>Una situazione che per il padre di Razia \u00e8 senza speranza.<\/strong> Un&#8217;insegnante che interviene nel documentario spiega che il padre di Razia \u00e8 solo uno delle migliaia di genitori che individuano il matrimonio come unica soluzione al loro impoverimento causato dal cambiamento climatico.<br \/>\nBisogna poi fare i conti con <strong>il problema della dote<\/strong>, che la famiglia della sposa deve pagare a quella dello sposo. Che in Bangladesh rappresentano una delle principali cause di impoverimento della popolazione pi\u00f9 povera. <strong>\u201cHidden Connections\u201d evidenzia come il \u201cprezzo della sposa\u201d tenda ad aumentare con il passare della sua et\u00e0. <\/strong>E cos\u00ec le famiglie pi\u00f9 povere sono spinte a dare in sposa le proprie figlie sempre pi\u00f9 giovani.<br \/>\nInfine c&#8217;\u00e8 la questione dell&#8217;onore: per evitare scandali o relazioni sconvenienti con altri ragazzi le famiglie danno in sposa le proprie figlie sempre pi\u00f9 giovani. Inoltre le citt\u00e0 sono molto pericolose, il rischio di subire molestie e violenze in pubblico \u00e8 molto elevato: per molte famiglie, il matrimonio rappresenta un modo per proteggere l&#8217;onore delle proprie figlie.<br \/>\n<strong>In conclusione, c&#8217;\u00e8 un nesso tra l&#8217;aumento dei matrimoni precoci e il cambiamento climatico? <\/strong>Questo resta ancora da dimostrare, ma questo documentario mostra come questo abbia chiaramente contribuito a cambiare il destino di Razia e Brishti.
