Nei Paesi pi\u00f9 poveri, guerre, persecuzioni e catastrofi ambientali, hanno effetti drammatici sulla vita delle bambine. Le poche fortunate che vanno a scuola sono costrette a interrompere gli studi, devono cercarsi un lavoro. Molte famiglie decidono di combinare un matrimonio, nell\u2019illusione di garantire alle figlie maggiore sicurezza. E parallelamente cresce il rischio che le giovani superstiti a queste tragedie diventino vittime di tratta.<\/strong>
\nAbbiamo raccontato spesso quello che succede in Siria e nei Paesi limitrofi <\/a><\/strong>a causa della guerra civile. Una situazione che si ripete in maniera molto simile anche nel Sud-Est asiatico dove pi\u00f9 della met\u00e0 delle ragazzine Rohingya che sono fuggite dal Myanmar a seguito delle violenze nella regione sono diventate baby spose. La denuncia viene da un rapporto delle Nazioni Unite ripreso dall\u2019agenzia Reuters<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Rohingya, popolo in fuga<\/h2>\n

Della storia e delle violazioni dei diritti ai danni della minoranza musulmana dei Rohingya \u2013 purtroppo \u2013 si parla poco su media occidentali. Questo popolo vive da decenni una storia fatta di discriminazioni, che ha avuto il suo apice durante la giunta militare. In base a una legge sulla concessione della cittadinanza del 1982, ad esempio, i Rohingya non possono prendere la cittadinanza birmana. Mentre i governi successivi sono stati accusati di aver fomentato rivolte violente contro le minoranze etniche, tra cui i Rohingya e i cinesi musulmani.
\nNel 2012 si sono riaccese le tensioni tra buddisti e musulmani nello stato del Rakhine (ovest della Birmania), che hanno costretto oltre 168mila persone a lasciare le proprie case. Tra queste, un numero sempre pi\u00f9 elevato di donne e ragazze, secondo quanto denuncia l\u2019Unhcr.<\/p>\n

Tra le ragazze in fuga, il 60% si \u00e8 sposata prima dei 18 anni<\/h2>\n

Una ricerca condotta dall\u2019organizzazione delle Nazioni Unite per i rifugiati su un campione di 85 donne e ragazze Rohingya evidenzia come il 60% di queste si sia sposata prima dei 18 anni. Tutte erano molto giovani quando sono diventate madri la prima volta: l\u2019et\u00e0 media del primo parto \u00e8 di 18 anni. Inoltre, un terzo del campione intervistato ha dichiarato di essere vittima di violenza domestica.
\nA preoccupare i rappresentanti delle Nazioni Unite c\u2019\u00e8 anche il rischio che le ragazze Rohingya in fuga dalle persecuzioni diventino vittima di tratta e sfruttamento sessuale. Secondo le stime dell\u2019Unhcr, ci sarebbero circa 8mila ragazze di etnia Rohingya tra i 14 e i 34 anni nei campi profughi in India, Indonesia e Malesia.<\/p>\n

Trafficanti in azione<\/h2>\n

L\u2019agenzia della Thompson Reuters foundation<\/a><\/strong> ha raccolto la storia di una di queste giovanissime. La ragazzina \u2013 di cui non viene pubblicato il nome- racconta di aver perso i contatti con la famiglia mentre cercava di raggiungere la Malesia. Catturata dai trafficanti, \u00e8 stata imprigionata per settimane in un campo nella giungla <\/strong>al confine tra Thailandia e Malesia con altre dozzine di giovani prigioniere.
\n\u00c8 stata liberata solo per essere venduta a un uomo appartenente alla sua stessa comunit\u00e0 che cercava una moglie.<\/strong> La baby sposa aveva solo 12 anni al momento delle nozze, il marito dieci anni pi\u00f9 di lei.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
